Welcome to Mount (Monte) Ortigara of the Asiago Highlands (AltoPiano). By foot or by car you can reach this super interesting spot. Our favorite part was not only the colors but the fact that it was a monument of history. Intertwined throughout this mountain are the trenches of WW1 carved in the stone. They will remain forever apart of the Cima Sacra dell”Ortigara, which is a sacred monument to the Italian Soldiers who lost their lives here.
